U.S. Virgin Islands Special Economic Envoy to Taiwan Anthony Weeks called on Director General Chou

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China(Taiwan) warmly welcomes Governor Albert Bryan Jr. of the U.S. Virgin Islands and his delegation to Taiwan from March 27th to April 1st.
The delegation, which includes Chief of Staff to Governor Mr. Karl Knight, USVI Special Economic Envoy to Taiwan Anthony Weeks, and several senior officials, will participate in the "Digital Transformation & Green Transition" 2023 Smart City Summit and Expo (SCSE), as well as meet with officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Economic Affairs, Taiwan External Trade Development Council, and representatives from the IT and aviation industries. The delegation will also visit the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology to explore opportunities for collaboration in related industries, tourism, and academia.
Our office is proud to have played a key role in organizing Governor Albert Bryan Jr.'s visit to Taiwan, which is the first visit to Taiwan by a USVI governor. This visit is significant as it demonstrates that Taiwan has many good friends around the world who share similar values.
Prior to the delegation's departure, Envoy Anthony Weeks, a key member of the delegation, met with Director General Chou to discuss the visit and receive a briefing on Taiwan's current economic and trade status.
