The 2023 ICU World Cheerleading Championships are currently taking place at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, located within the Walt Disney World Resort.
Taiwan sent its top athletes to represent our country in several categories including the Special Olympics-Traditional, Coed Premier, Pom, and Hip-Hop. A total of four teams, comprised of 90 Taiwanese players, are participating in the event.
On 4/21, our delegation team participating in the Special Olympics-Traditional category won a silver medal. In recognition of the outstanding performance by students from the National Miaoli Special School, Director General Chou spoke with Principal Tun-Yi Chou and conveyed a congratulatory message on behalf of Director General Shih-Chung Cheng of the Sports Administration of the Ministry of Education.
