The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in New York is pleased to announce that artworks by pioneering Taiwanese artists will be on view from May 24 to June 2, 2019 at TECO in New York.
The artworks are from the private collection of the late Dr. Hong-yen Hsu, whose family founded the Sun Ten Museum in Irvine, California in 1993 according to his last wishes and will now donate the collection of over 600 pieces of Taiwanese artworks spanning the 20th century to Taiwan's Ministry of Culture. Before his death, Dr. Hsu repeatedly expressed that these artworks belong not to him, but to the people of Taiwan, and should eventually return home.
