The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in New York is pleased to announce that Taiwanese artist Kang Muxiang’s large-scale monumental sculptures from his ‘Rebirth' series are now on view at Grounds For Sculpture (Hamilton Township, New Jersey) through June 6, 2020.
Sited outdoors in the gardens, the installation consists of six embryonic forms made from steel cables recycled from the elevators of Taipei 101, which stood as the world’s tallest building from 2004 to 2010. The largest sculpture stands at nearly 10 feet tall and weighs several thousand pounds.
The installation is supported by the Taiwan Land Development Corporation and TECO in New York.
