Director General Vincent Yao of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Seattle and Dr. Yau-Jr (Tristan) Lu, Director General of Economic Development Bureau of Taichung City Government led a delegation composed of Taiwan academic and business leaders to visit the state of Wyoming from June 13 to 15, 2018.
The delegation called on Wyoming Governor Matt Mead, CEO Shawn Reese of Wyoming Business Council, Chief Information Officer Tony Young of Department of Enterprise Technology Services, Cheyenne City Mayor Marian Orr, Executive Director Jason Begger of Integrated Test Center, Executive Vice President Jim Magana of Wyoming Stock Growers Assocation, and the University of Wyoming to discuss opportunities for further cooperation and partnership.
To underscore the cordial sister city relations between Taichung and Cheyenne, the delegation also witnessed Mayor Orr’s signing of the “Taichung Declaration,” which supports the theme of “Green, Nature and People” of “Taichung World Flora Exposition,” to be held in November, 2018.
