Our Office Extends Gratitude to all the Leaders and Friends for Attending the Republic of China (Taiwan)'s 113th National Day Reception in Belgium

On October 2nd, Ambassador Roy Lee hosted the Republic of China (Taiwan)'s 113th National Day Reception in Belgium. Over 300 people were present, including political leaders from the EU and Belgium, Members of the European Parliament, Belgian Federal Senators and Representatives, Regional Parliament Members, and friends from all walks of life. The reception featured live performances of classic Taiwanese songs and folk music by the Chamber X Chamber ensemble. A mini-Taiwanese night market food street was set up, allowing guests to taste traditional snacks like salt and pepper chicken, cold noodles, braised beef shank, candied fruit skewers, and pineapple cakes, paired with Taiwanese beer. There was also a Taiwanese organic agriculture booth promoting organic black tea and publicising the upcoming Organic World Congress 2024, which will be held in Taiwan for the first time. The atmosphere was lively and warm.
