On the evening of February 27, Director-General Charles Liao attended a reception hosted by the Consulate General of Japan in Boston to celebrate the birthday of the Japanese Emperor. During the event, he engaged in discussions with Japan’s Consul General Seiichiro Takahashi, Speaker of the New Hampshire House of Representatives Sherman Packard, members of the Consular Corps, and prominent political, business, and academic leaders from Massachusetts. In addition to extending his congratulations to Consul General Takahashi on the occasion of the Japanese Emperor’s birthday, Director-General Liao also discussed the strong ties and ongoing cooperation between Taiwan and Japan.
