The Contemporary Legend Theatre of Taiwan, by invitation of The Cleveland Museum of Art, Ohio, performed King Lear on January 25th, 2013, at the Breen Center for the Performing Arts. King Lear of the Contemporary Legend Theatre, adapted from the Shakespeare tragedy is a solo performance by Artistic Director and renowned performer, Wu Hsing-Kuo who embodied 10 different characters in the piece. After the performance, the audience stood and applauded warmly. The groups from Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Chicago visited Cleveland and conveyed Director General Ger's greetings and took pictures backstage with Wu Hsing-Kuo and his wife Lin Hsiu-Wei.
The group from TECO paid a visit to Cleveland to see the Contemporary Legend Theatre of Taiwan’s performance of King Lear on Jan. 25th. The following day, they went to the Chinese Academy of Cleveland, CAOC and met with Chinese teachers from local schools and a traditional Chinese school to exchange opinions
