The Investment and Trade Office of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in the United States is a branch under the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Our mission is to enhance the bilateral economic, trade, and investment relationship as well as innovative technology partnerships between Taiwan and the states of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont. We aim to provide the American business community with the latest information and incentives for doing business in Taiwan.
On December 6, 2021, Ministry of Economic Affairs and U.S. Department of Commerce jointly launched the Taiwan-U.S. Technology Trade and Investment Collaboration (TTIC) framework to expand bilateral cooperation on critical supply chains through trade and investment. Initial areas of focus include semiconductors, 5G, electric vehicles, and sustainable energy.
In order to implement the TTIC framework, this office works closely with U.S. state governments and organizes events on economic development to share new business strategies and opportunities for bilateral cooperation. Examples include the "Taiwan-USA Offshore Wind Industry Technical Online Meeting," "Rhode Island-Taiwan Biotechnology Business Development Event," "Taiwan-Pennsylvania Economic and Technology Online Seminar," and "Taiwan-US Cooperation on Global Supply Chains Post COVID-19."
