The Education Division strives to promote exchange and cooperation in an educational context between Taiwan and the U.K. / Republic of Ireland. Services provided include the following:
- Promoting exchange between the R.O.C. and the U.K. / Republic of Ireland in academia and sport; supporting related exchange activities involving Taiwanese, British and Irish participants.
- Facilitating exchange visits between scholars or professionals in the education sector.
- Supplying information and guidance to enable students from the U.K. and the Republic of Ireland to obtain scholarships for study of language or degree programmes in the R.O.C.
- Contributing to Taiwan’s “Bilingual Nation 2030” Policy by facilitating cooperation between the U.K. and Taiwan in Mandarin learning, K-12 school partnerships and international education.
- Promoting and supporting Mandarin teaching within the U.K. and the Republic of Ireland.
- Granting assistance to academics and students from the R.O.C. undertaking research or study in the U.K. / Republic of Ireland.
- Helping to verify degrees obtained in the U.K. or the Republic of Ireland in according to‘MOE Regulations Regarding the Assessment and Recognition of Foreign Academic Credentials for Institutions of Higher Education.’
- Compiling and editing information upon policy, statistics and practice relating to education and sport in the U.K. / Republic of Ireland.
