EATS 2019 conference and Taiwan Studies YSA submissions open until mid-September

The European Association of Taiwan Studies (EATS) 2019 conference submission deadlines for regular panels and MA panels have been extended to 15 September and 31 October 2018 respectively. The submission deadline for the 2019 Taiwan Studies Young Scholar Award (YSA) has also been extended to 15 September.

Next year’s conference is entitled “Recognising Taiwan: A Conference Exploring Taiwan’s Society and Political World”, and will take place at Nottingham Trent University from 10-12 April 2019. EATS is currently inviting papers and panel proposals that explore themes surrounding Taiwan, its recognition and the recognition Taiwan bestows upon others. In their papers, Taiwan Studies YSA applicants should address the issue of ‘Recognising Taiwan’, in accordance with the theme of the 2019 EATS conference.
