In partnership with Delfina Foundation, the Minisry of Culture, Taiwan and Cultural Division, Taipei Representative Office in U.K. continue to collaborate on selecting Taiwanese artisit or curator to take part in a 12-week residency, taking place from 23 June to 14 Sepetember 2025, to provide aid on emerging Taiwanese talented artists or curators with their creation and international connection.
Delfina Foundation is a well-known UK-based art development insitution with connections throughout UK and Europe. It also provides various kinds of assistance and consultation to help artists expand their international connection. This residency open call is for Taiwanese artists and curators and is open to any kind of creation or research topics. With the professional assistance and netowrk of Delfina Foundation, participants can engage on dialogues with local British art communities to express their capability in response to global issues and further expand their international paritcipance.
Besides being able to carry out independent researches during the residency, selected applicant is also assisted and encouraged by Delfina Foundation to have informal gatherings or disucssions with their peer residents . Delfina Foundation will also arrange external visitings and networking activites for selected applicant in order for residents to aggressively carry out brainstorming with local art societies. For instance, selected applicant will be arranged visits to art musuems, galleries, public art institutions, studios ran by artisits, or even institutions outside of London. In these visits and other relevant activities, selected applicant will be introduced to local and international artisits, curators, scholars and researchers, while also being provided with professional instrcutions, such as presentations and crits between peers, consultation service regarding the artist/curator’s portfolio by external curators, inviting local art experts to provided development consultation, and etc.
The deadline of the application is 9 March, 2025 GMT. Applicants would be assessed by a panel of British artists and curators assembled by Delfina Foundation. The first round would be document review, while shortlisted applicants will be invited to an online interview. The panel’s decision is expected to be announced by the end of April 2025.
